Married 90210 and Twilight Stars Are Sweet Sweeties

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Eight years of marriage and three kids later, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli are still like a hot, walking Valentine.

The Twilight star was perched in the front row for the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection fashion show at Bryant Park in New York City, waiting anxiously for his wife was to strut her stuff in a Badgley Mischka creation.

But as the 90210 queen bee stepped onto the red runway, she didn’t spot her hubby right away.

“Honey, I couldn’t find you when I went at first,” she admitted to him backstage afterward. “I couldn’t find you.”

“Yeah, I didn’t want to throw you off your game,” he said of his subtle whistling throughout her catwalk climb. “I tried not to. Were you nervous? I was totally nervous.”

Scared or not, Facinelli couldn’t hide his appreciation of his wife’s assets. “I look like a street urchin next to my hot wife,” he told a quick-click photographer.

When E! News asked him before the show started if he’d ever seen his wife do a runway show, he responded, “Only in the living room.”

Dare we ask what she was wearing for such an occasion?

“I can’t say,” he laughed.

And, ladies, in case you were wondering, the erstwhile Carlisle Cullen couldn’t give us Robert Pattinson’s phone number either.

Jennie Garth Parlays DWTS Into Life Lessons for Daughters

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

When Jennie Garth took a tumble during the fifth season of Dancing With the Stars, she knew that her daughters were watching — right alongside millions of other television viewers. Her thoughts immediately turned not to her standing on the show, but to how she could turn the incident into a learning experience for Luca Bella, 11, Lola Ray, 6 next month, and Fiona Eve, 2. “I had to go home and make it right with them,” the 36-year-old actress explained during a Wednesday appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show. The lesson?

“It happened, and then you get back up, and you keep going.”

Describing the girls as “so strong,” Jennie shared that they “have some amazing dance moves now, from watching the show.” One show they won’t be watching their mom on is 90210; Jenny revealed that it’s off-limits for now, and instead, the girls watch Miley Cyrus and Raven-Symoné.

Luca, Lola and Fiona are Jenny’s children with husband Peter Facinelli.

Jennie Garth’s Family Crisis: ‘I Had Six Months of Hell’

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Jennie Garth may be reprising her role as the stylish Kelly Taylor on the new 90210, but earlier this year, looks were the last thing on her mind.

“I had this six months of hell,” the actress, 36, tells PEOPLE. “I had a sick daughter and then my father passed away, so there was a six month period in my life when I didn’t think about my looks or my weight or my body or anything.”

Fresh off her stint on Dancing With The Stars – and toned from months of 8-hour-a-day dance practices – Garth suddenly faced every mother’s worst nightmare. Her 5-year-old daughter Lola, “got very sick and we didn’t know what was wrong with her,” says Garth, who has three girls with husband Peter Facinelli. “I was basically locked in a closet with her for three months.”

Leaving all vanity behind, “I didn’t exercise or eat healthy,” she adds. “I had been a 27 in my jeans after Dancing With the Stars and I was so excited. But it really went back quickly. I definitely gained inches and a size.”

Finally, doctors were able to diagnose her daughter’s ailment. “It turned out to be a form of JRA [Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis] and we treated her and it’s in remission,” says Garth. “It was tough, but she’s better now.”

Jennie Character has a Child?

Monday, August 4th, 2008

90210: Season 1 - Promotional Photos We are now hearing that the spin off writers may have found a way to advance those ancient, 90s love stories. Sources tell us West Bev’s guidance counselor, Ms. Kelly Taylor, has a four-year-old kid! No word on whether the baby daddy is Brandon or Dylan, but I’m betting it’s one of ‘em. Still, don’t expect to see the girl — who was once burned in a fire, brainwashed by a cult and big into blow — pining for her old flames. A romance between Kel and the school’s 20-something lacrosse coach, Ryan Matthews is brewing instead…

90210 Cast Shakeup

Monday, July 7th, 2008

90210 Cast Shakeup
Date: July 2, 2008
Source: TV.Com

When the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise reboots this fall on the CW, most of the cast will be fresh-faced talent, a sort of 90210: The Next Generation.

However, producers are giving a shout-out to the source material, and will complement all the young ‘uns with some faces from the original program that captivated audiences in the ’90s. Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling were set to reprise their roles as Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin, respectively, but things are a-changin’ down in the B.H.

Spelling, who was supposed to appear in several of the first season’s early episodes, is pushing her debut back, says E! Online. The actress recently had a baby, and is not ready to return to work.

So with one old cast member indefinitely out of the mix, producers apparently have decided to add another–and it’s a doozy.

Details on her storyline are still being developed, but E! says the hope is to reunite Doherty and Garth onscreen, and hopefully the fur will fly. Doherty was rumored to leave the original show after four seasons because of on-set friction.

“Everyone has their take on what happened back in the day, and I think the feeling is that it’s time to move on,” a source tells E! “They were 19 and 20 when all of that happened and a lot has changed. And, you know, they’re not moving in together, just shooting together for an hour and a half.”
